Under 15 Girls

The Under 15 Girls Indoor Cup Semi-Finals were both very close low scoring games. In the first game, Oakville Phantoms took on the Richmond Hill Raiders. Neither team was able to convert a goal, as very few shots on goal were even allowed. The scoreless game required Kicks from the Penalty Mark to determine a winner that would advance to the Finals. After nine shots from each team, the Oakville Phantoms finally claimed the victory scoring six goals to Richmond Hill's five.

In the other Semi-Final game, the Mississauga Dixie Blades encountered the Brampton Brams United Storm. This game looked as though it was headed to Kicks from the Penalty Mark, despite the aggressive play of both teams, however, the Storm snatched the win by scoring a goal with just 6 seconds left on the clock. Brams United's Nina Mennite is credited with the lone goal, while Marisa Nifo earned the shutout in net.

In the Final, the Oakville Phantoms were up against the Brampton Brams United Storm in a battle that resulted in another scoreless game that had to be determined by Kicks from the Penalty Mark. Oakville came out fighting in the first half, nearly scoring in the first few seconds of the game but the ball was stopped just inches from crossing the goal line. It was the Storm that ended the half in a flurry however, with Brams United's Nicole Kerr nearly scoring as a ball was headed just over the cross bar with only 10 seconds left in the half. The second half saw both teams pressing hard for the first goal, but all efforts seemed to fall just short . When the final whistle blew, neither team had managed a goal. Nevertheless, the Ontario Indoor Cup would be presented to the Oakville Phantoms as the team defeated the Brampton Brams United Storm 4-3 on Kicks from the Penalty Mark.

Under 15 Boys

The Vaughan Thunderhawks faced the Mississauga Dixie Blue Devils in the Under 15 Boys first Semi-Final. #18 Elias Somlay of Vaughan opened the scoring, but Dixie responded just 3 minutes later with a goal from #14 Kevin Avila. Vaughan looked to take the lead again in the middle of the first half when they were awarded a penalty shot, but Dixie's goal keeper #21 Matthew Silva made an amazing diving save to keep the score tied. Dixie held most of the possession for the rest of the half, but Vaughan's defence stood tall not allowing Dixie many shots. Dixie came out firing in the second half forcing a great save from #22 Ryan Zamora, but shortly after #11 Harvinder Azra would beat Zamora putting away an open pass in front of the net. Dixie kept men back the rest of the half and maintained their 2-1 lead to advance to the Ontario Indoor Cup Finals. In the other Semi- Final the Woodbridge Strikers took on the London City Cobras. The game was a physical affaire with two ejections given to London City players. London held strong possession early in the first half, but the tides changed after a brilliant strike from Woodbridge's #13 Francesco Capone gave his team the 1-0 lead. In the second half Woodbridge came out firing with multiple goal scoring chances, but were unable to score. Woodbridge padded its lead with just 30 seconds left, thanks to a goal from #8 Ryan Sciacchitano. Woodbridge won the game 2-0 and would face Dixie in the Final.

The Dixie-Woodbrige Final was expected to be a physical battle as these two teams clearly have an unfriendly history. The match turned out to be one of the best finals in the Ontario Indoor Cup as both teams came to play some great soccer. Both teams came out strong and were looking for an early go ahead goal. Woodbridge struck first on one of the few goal scoring chances of the half; #8 Ryan Sciacchitano put away a great cross to give his team the lead. The play remained in the middle third of the field as neither team appeared willing to give an inch. In the second half, Dixie''s keeper Matthew Silva kept his team in the game making numerous spectacular saves. Woodbridge eventually added to its lead as #4 Paolo Bozzo put away a great passing play, to give his team a 2-0 victory and the 2006 Under 15 Boys Ontario Indoor Cup.

Under 18 Girls

In the Under 18 Girls Semi-Finals, two teams from Mississauga defeated their counterparts to earn their spot in the Finals. In the first game, Mississauga Dixie 88's A outscored Kanata Lightning 4-3. Dixie opened the scoring by capitalizing on a number of goal scoring opportunities. It was Savitre Bachoo that gave her team its first goal. However, Kanata continued to apply pressure and was able to score an equalizer late in the first half from a two on one break. The first half ended in a tie with neither team showing signs of slowing down. Kanata opened the scoring early in the second half with a lovely one two pass, slotting the ball easily into the open net after the goalkeeper was caught out. Kanata added another goal with Alysha Bonnick scoring off a one time volley and tallying her third goal of the game. A penalty kick goal late in the second half gave Dixie new energy. Dixie's Caitlin Shaw then tied the game on a strong strike from well outside the goal area. With four minutes left on the clock and the game on the line, Dixie's Danya Barsalona deked out four Kanata players and placed the ball in the bottom right corner of the net, sending Dixie to the Semi-Finals.

In the other Semi-Final, Mississauga Erin Mills Eagles B soundly defeated London United Xtreme by a score of 4-0. Erin Mills took control of the game early after just two minutes had elapsed off the clock. Erin Flynn recorded the goal as she deposited the ball in the net after a nice give and go play. Terri McCreadie followed up with two more goals for her team in the first half. Erin Flynn scored her second of the game in the second half which turned out to be the only goal of the half. After 50 minutes of play, Erin Mills moved on to the Cup Final against the Dixie 88's.

The Indoor Cup Final for the Under 18 Girls was competitive, but in the end, Mississauga Erin Mills Eagles B recorded its second shutout of the day as it slipped past the Mississauga Dixie 88's A by a score of 2-0. The first half started with both teams pressing hard for a goal. A rocket shot from Erin Mills' Terri McCreadie into the top left corner of the goal gave Erin Mills the lead mid way through the half. Terri McCreadie then scored her second of the game and fourth on the day with a strong strike from just outside the goal area which then deflected off a defender and slipped through the goalkeeper's fingers. Dixie came out strong in the second half, and pressed hard for a goal, however, it was unable to penetrate the Erin Mills' defence and strong ball control. The Mississauga Erin Mills Eagles B team was then rewarded with the Ontario Indoor Cup and Provincial Title.

Under 18 Boys

In the first Under 18 Boys Semi-Final the Thunder Bay Lakehead Express were scheduled to play Ottawa St. Anthony, a rare encounter for these clubs who come from opposite ends of the province and are divided by almost 1000 miles. Thunder Bay started off strong with an early goal by #17 Justin Safar, it looked as if Thunder Bay would end the half with a one goal lead, but Ottawa's #16 Kasper Ciepala scored with just 8 seconds left on the clock to tie the game. Ottawa played a much better second half as Ciepala added two second half goals for the hat-trick; teammates #7 Dahnbir Jaswal and #10 David DiNardo joined the second half scoring spree to give Ottawa a 5-1 victory over Thunder Bay. In the other Semi-Final the Glen Shields Sun Devils faced the challenging North Mississauga Classics. Danny Ramos opened the scoring for Glen Shield's, sliding a nice goal past a diving keeper. Glen Shield's went into the second half with a 2-1 lead, but #11 Ewart Uzaka of North Mississauga scored his second of the game to knot the score at two's. However, Glen Shields #13 Andrew Landry would answer quickly with the game winning goal sending his team to the Final

The Glen Shields-Ottawa Final was a thrilling match as both teams took an offensive stance early in the game. Despite Glen Shields' ability to maintain most of the possession in the first half, Ottawa was able to strike first off a 3 on 2 counter attack; #14 Samuel Mchugh fired a low shot past the left side of the keeper. Glen Shield's managed to tie the game late in the half as #16 Alex Raphael capitalized on a great through ball to blast a shot into the twine. Ottawa responded immediately and turned up the offensive attack allowing for Mchugh to score his second and give Ottawa a 2-1 lead going into the second half. Glen Shiled''s continued to display some great skill in the second half, but Ottawa's team play was too strong. The team took a defensive stance and waited for Glen Shields to take some risks. Late in the half Ottawa put the game out of reach with #7 Dhnbir Jaswal’s goal. Ottawa's #4 Jonathan Brooks added one more with just 2 minutes left on the clock to give them a 4-1 victory and the Ontario Indoor Cup Championship.
