2008 Women Ontario Cup Champions -- North London Galaxy

VAUGHAN, Sunday, September 7, 2008 -- In the final game of the weekend, the North London Galaxy took to the field against the St. Catharines Jets. On the line was the right to be called provincial champions, as well as representing Ontario at Club Nationals in Newfoundland from October 8th to the 13th. From the opening whistle, North London just seemed to be a step quicker to every ball, and it didn't take long for the Galaxy to convert one of their chances, as Shelina Zadorsky put them ahead in the 5th minute of the game finishing into the bottom right corner. The goal seemed to deflate the Jets and inspire the Galaxy, who added five more unanswered goals to their tally for a convincing 6-0 victory. Zadorsky added another, along with three from Rachel Wannek, and one from Robyn Brady.
