Policy 4.0 - TOURNAMENTS CLASSIFICATIONS


4.1Amateur Tournaments

The following classes of tournaments are open to amateur teams only.

4.2For each Recreational Tournament listed in Policy 4.1 above, the Tournament Host Organization will indicate in its Application To Host Tournament Form which of the following Team Types is eligible to play in that tournament:
  • Youth Level 6 League Teams
  • Youth Level 7 League Teams
  • Youth Level 6 League All-Star Teams
  • Youth Level 7 League All-Star Teams
  • Mini Soccer Level 6 League Teams (Under-11 and Under-12 teams only)
  • Mini Soccer Level 7 League Teams (Under-11 and Under-12 teams only)
  • Mini Soccer Level 6 League All-Star Teams (Under-11 and Under-12 teams only)
  • Mini Soccer Level 7 League All-Star Teams (Under-11 and Under-12 teams only)
4.3For each competitive youth tournament listed in Policy 4.1 above and for each youth tournament listed in Policies 4.5, 4.6 and 4.7 below, the Tournament Host Organization will indicate in its Application To Host Tournament Form which of the following Team Types is eligible to play in that tournament subject to the OSA's competition policies:
  • team playing in Youth Level 1 League
  • team playing in Youth Level 2 League
  • team playing in Youth Level 3 League
  • team playing in Youth Level 4 League
  • team playing in Youth Level 5 League
4.4For each recreational youth tournament listed in Policy 4.1 above and for each youth tournament listed in Policies 4.5, 4.6 and 4.7 below, the Tournament Host Organization will indicate in its Application To Host Tournament Form which of the following Team Types is eligible to play in that tournament subject to the OSA's competition policies:
  • team playing in Youth Level 6 League
  • team playing in Youth Level 7 League
4.5Notwithstanding Policy 4.1 above, in youth age divisions only, competitive tournaments may also permit Recreational Teams or Mini Soccer Teams to enter their tournament as follows:

4.6		Notwithstanding Policy 4.1 above, in the North Region, competitive youth tournaments may also permit:
a)
Competitive Club Teams, Competitive All-Star Teams, Youth Level 6 League Teams, Youth Level 6 League All-Star Teams or Youth Level 7 League All-Star Teams, Youth Level 7 League Teams, and
b)
(in the U-11 and U-12 youth age divisions only) Mini Soccer Youth Level 6 League Teams, Mini Soccer Youth Level 6 League All-Star Teams or Youth Level 7 League All-Star Teams, and Mini Soccer Youth Level 7 League Teams
to enter the following classes of tournament: O-IDCC, O-IDCA, O-DTCC
4.7Notwithstanding Policy 4.1 above, in the North Region, Inter-Provincial Recreational All-Star Tournaments may be held, as follows:
O-IPRAOutdoorInter-ProvincialRecreational
  • Youth Level 6 League Teams
  • Youth Level 6 League All-Star Teams or Youth Level 7 League All-Star Teams
  • Mini Soccer Youth Level 6 League Teams (Under-11 and Under-12 teams only)
  • Mini Soccer Youth Level 6 League All-Star Teams or Youth Level 7 League All-Star Teams (Under-11 and Under-12 teams only)
4.8Notwithstanding Competitions Policy 4.1, an indoor team or a futsal team shall be permitted to play in an "outdoor" tournament played in an indoor facility in Ontario during the period from January 1 to April 15, providing that all of its players are either registered as "indoor" players for an indoor team or as "futsal" players for a futsal team.
4.9Professional Tournaments

The following classes of tournaments are open to Professional teams only.
