Policy 7.0 - TOURNAMENT REQUIREMENTS OF HOSTS


7.1The Tournament Host must obtain approval, in accordance with Policy 5.0
7.2The Tournament Host must advise all participants about the "Tournament Requirements for Team Participation", as stipulated in Policy 9.0
7.3a)Tournament rules may permit youth teams or mini-soccer teams to include additional players from another youth team or Mini Soccer Team within the same Club, subject to the requirements of Policy 9.7.
b)Tournament rules may permit senior teams to include additional players from another team within the same Club subject to the requirements of Policy 9.7.
7.4a)Further to 7.3 a) tournament rules may permit youth teams or mini-soccer teams to include additional players from another youth team or Mini Soccer Team from any Club, subject to the requirements of Policy 9.7
b)Further to 7.3 b), tournament rules may permit senior teams to include additional players from another team from any Club, subject to the requirements of Policy 9.7.
7.5The Tournament Host shall provide teamsheets which shall be completed by each team prior to each game, and which must be submitted to the referee prior to the kickoff. The competing teams must be identified on the teamsheet by Team Name and Team Registration Number.
7.6Except as specified in 7.7, the Tournament Host shall collect teamsheets and misconduct reports from referees immediately after each game and such shall be forwarded by the Tournament Host to its District Association, or in the case of a Senior Level 1 League, Senior Level 2 League, Senior Level 3 League, Senior Level 4 League, (if governed by the OSA) Senior Level 5 League, Youth Level 1 League, Youth Level 2 League, Youth Level 3 League, Youth Level 4 League, and (if governed by the OSA) Youth Level 5 League, to The OSA, no later that 48 hours after the last day of the tournament.
7.7In all cases of alleged game official assault, the misconduct report shall be forwarded by the referee to:
a)The OSA
b)his District Association
c)the Tournament Host
within 48 hours of the conclusion of the game.
7.8Within 30 days of the final day of the tournament
a)The Tournament Host of an International Tournament, North American Tournament, or Inter-Provincial Tournament must submit a tournament report to The OSA
b)The Tournament Host of an Inter-District Tournament or a District Tournament must submit a tournament report to the District Association
7.9Failure to do so shall result in the following penalties:
first offence, $100.00 fine;
second offence, $250.00 fine plus disqualification from hosting a tournament in the following year.
7.10The tournament report shall include:
a)a list of participating teams, identified by Team Name and Team Registration Number;
b)a list of teams failing to show up, identified by Team Name and Team Registration Number;
c)a list of teams which failed to play all their games, identified by Team Name and Team Registration Number;
d)a summary report of serious injuries;
e)discipline summary report;
f)the tournament schedule and results of each game;
g)any other relevant comments.
7.11Failure to comply with the terms of Policy 7.0 will render the Tournament Host subject to disciplinary action, including but not limited to, non-sanction of hosting any tournament in the following year, with the exception of Section 7.7, where the Tournament Host shall have the responsibility for overseeing that the referee report has been completed and submitted.
